Who we are Business Advice Resource Center Training Who we areSmall Business Centers (SBC) is your partner for business success.SBC supports the development of new businesses and the growth of existing businesses by being a community-based provider of advice, resource information and training.
A Small Business Center is located within 30 minutes of you. Blue Ridge has a SBC in Flat Rock at the main campus and a SBC in Brevard at our Transylvania Center. The BRCC SBC is connected with 58 other Small Business Centers located on community college camp around the state serving North Carolina businesses.
SBC MissionThe objective of the Small Business Center is to increase the success rate and the number of viable small businesses in Henderson and Transylvania County by providing high quality, readily-accessible assistance to prospective and existing small business owners and their employees. Small Business Center (SBC) will be a community-based provider of education and training, counseling, information and referral.
SBC VisionThe vision of the Small Business Center Network is to foster and support entrepreneurship, small business training and economic development in Henderson and Transylvania County. What is the cost of SBC Services?Confidential business advice services and access to resource center are free of charge. Some seminars and workshops may require a minimal registration fee. Business AdviceThe Small Business Center provides free, confidential business advice for new and existing businesses. Available on an as-needed basis, our advisers’ serve as sounding boards for ideas and concerns you may have about your business. Our professional staff will help you find solutions to your challenging business questions. No question is too simple or too complicated. Connected businesses are successful businesses. In addition to providing business advice, resources and training, SBC will connect you with other free or low coasts services available through the local Chamber of Commerce, Economic Development, Downtown Development, Small Business Administration (SBA), Service of Retired Executives (SCORE), USDA, North Carolina Department of Commerce, North Carolina Secretary of State, North Carolina Employment Security, Small Business and Technology Center (SBTDC), Business Resource Network, Senior Business Resource Network, MountainBiz Works, local banks, Self-Help Credit Union, Mountain Area Workforce Development, Joblink, etc. SBC is a member of the North Carolina Business Alliance. Resource CenterSBC has a source of professional resources waiting to be tapped. Printed business and Internet resources await you to generate an idea for a business, develop a business plan, learn how to successfully open a business or how to expand an existing business.
